NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Freshman Megan Butzner drove home three runs and Frostburg State scored two runs in both the fourth and sixth innings to earn a 5-3 win over Piedmont in NCAA Regional Softball action, on a warn and sunny Friday afternoon.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Brennan Balfour hit a two-run homerun in the bottom of the ninth inning to send third seeded Susquehanna to a 3-1 win over sixth seeded Frostburg State in the opening round of the 2010 NCAA Softball Championship, Thursday.

Softball Placed in Newport News Regional of NCAA Tournament
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - It's now official as the Frostburg State softball team was selected to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in the program's history, earlier today. The Bobcats were placed in the Newport News Regional hosted by Christopher Newport and FSU will play Susquehanna at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 13 in the opening round.

Magee and Henne Sweep AMCC Weekly Honors
GIBSONIA, Pa. - After guiding Frostburg State to an AMCC Championship title, sophomores Megan Magee and Megan Henne were selected as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Pitcher of the Week and Player of the Week respectively for the week of May 10.
