NEWPORT NEWS, Va. –
Freshman Megan Butzner drove home three runs and Frostburg State scored two runs in both the fourth and sixth innings to earn a 5-3 win over Piedmont in NCAA Regional Softball action, on a warn and sunny Friday afternoon.

Softball Placed in Newport News Regional of NCAA Tournament
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -
It's now official as the Frostburg State softball team was selected to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in the program's history, earlier today. The Bobcats were placed in the Newport News Regional hosted by Christopher Newport and FSU will play Susquehanna at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 13 in the opening round.

Magee and Henne Sweep AMCC Weekly Honors
GIBSONIA, Pa. -
After guiding Frostburg State to an AMCC Championship title, sophomores Megan Magee and Megan Henne were selected as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Pitcher of the Week and Player of the Week respectively for the week of May 10.

The Bobcat women's soccer team has appeared in the NCAA Tournament six times since 2001, including a run of five-consecutive seasons from 2001-05.
All-American 1
Frostburg State Athletics has had at least one All-American every year since 1974.
All-American 3
Frostburg State University student-athletes have earned 297 All-American Awards since 1953.
Hall of Fame 1
The three former student-athletes that will be inducted into FSU’s 2010 Hall of Fame class, combined to win 299 games/matches during their careers.
CAC 1
The 2010-11 athletic year is the first for FSU athletic teams as a part of the Capital Athletic Conference.
All-American 2
Bobcat student-athletes have collected 33 All-American awards since 2000.
NCAA Tourmament 1
The Frostburg State volleyball program has made eight trips to the NCAA Tournament since becoming a varsity sport in 1994 (16 years).
