MORGANTOWN, W Va.- Senior
Brian Leiter (New Windsor, Md./Francis Scott Key) earned an NCAA provisional qualifing time in the 800 meter run (1:53.45), Saturday at the State Farm Games hosted by West Virginia University.
Leiter's victory was over mostly regional Division I opponents and is his second NCAA provisional time this season. Last weekend he qualified in the one mile run with a time of 4:15.96
Junior
Dustin Eagle (Mechanicsville, Md./Trinity) had a strong performance to finish sixth in the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:48.82.
Sophomore
Emily Furr (Damascus, Md./Poolesville) led the women's team as she finished fourth overall in the triple jump with a distance of 10.52. Furr also finished 14th in the long jump. Classmate
Anne Patron (Baltimore, Md./Dulany) finished the one mile run with a time of 5:32.66, which was good enough for sixth place.
The men's 4x400 relay continued to gain momentum early in the season as they tallied a 3:33.28 to finish third.
The Bobcats return to action on January 28 at the Ursinus Pentathalon.
