FROSTBURG, Md. - Freshman
Megan Martin (Richmond, Va./Mills Goodwin) earned two of Frostburg State's three wins as it lost its first AMCC match this season with a 6-3 setback to Penn State Behrend, Friday afternoon.
The Bobcats (11-4, 8-1) dropped their second match in three games while the Lions (12-4, 8-1) have won nine of their last 10 matches.
At No. 4 singles, Martin earned her seventh-straight win and improved her overall record to 10-1. She swept Christy Calvert in straight sets 6-2, 6-1.
Martin also teamed with fellow freshman
Elly Dannenfelser (Joppa, Md./John Carroll) for their seventh-straight victory as a tandem at No. 1 doubles. The duo moved past Alicia Christman and Steph Cattron with an 8-3 win.
Liz Coblentz (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) picked up the other Bobcat win on the afternoon and improved her record to 7-1 in No 5. singles. The senior defeated Leslie Durante 6-4, 6-2.
