GIBSONIA, Pa. - Senior
Gwen Massey (Thorofare, N.J./West Deptford) took home women's Runner of the Year honors as the men's and women's cross country teams placed six individuals on the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Conference teams announced on Tuesday.
Massey was awarded Runner of the Year honors after capturing first place at the AMCC Championships with a time of 24:17. This is the fourth-straight year that she has earned all-conference honors for Frostburg State.
Sophomore
Anne Patron (Baltimore, Md./Dulaney), junior Jessica O'Neil (Mechanicsville, Md./Chopticon), freshman
Lydia Valenta (Frostburg, Md. / Homeschool) and senior
Christina Aumand (Chesapeake Beach, Md./Huntingtown) joined Massey on the all-conference team for the Bobcats.
Patron, last year's AMCC Newcomer of the Year, took home all-conference honors after placing fourth (24:50) while O'Neil finished tenth (27:12).
Valenta earned all-conference honors for her 12th place finish (27:26) while Aumand captured her second all-conference honor after finishing 13th (27:27).
Sophomore
Gavin Caupp (Frostburg, Md./Mt. Ridge) captured the only all-conference honors for the men's squad with his fifth-place finish, crossing the line with a time of 29:19.
The Bobcats return to action on Saturday, Nov. 15 at the NCAA Division III Mid-East Regional Championships in Bethlehem, Pa.
