Men's Soccer Travels to Medaille for AMCC Tournament Semifinals

FROSTBURG, Md. - The Frostburg State men's soccer team will travel to Medaille for the 2009 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Tournament semifinals on Wednesday, November 4. The fourth seeded Bobcats (12-6-1) and the top seeded Mavericks (15-2-2) will square off at 5:30 pm in Buffalo, N.Y.
FSU enters the contest on a role, having won eight-straight games including a 6-1 victory over La Roche in the first round of the tournament this past Saturday afternoon. This year marks the eighth-straight year that the Bobcats have advanced to the tournament semifinals.
Medaille defeated Frostburg State in the regular season 2-0 and the Mavs have won six of the last seven meetings.
The other semifinal matchup features No. 3 Penn State Altoona (13-5-1) at No. 2 Penn State Behrend (14-4-2) on Wednesday at 2:30 pm. Altoona won the regular season contest 2-1 in double overtime.
The AMCC Tournament finals are set for this Saturday, November 7 at the highest remaining seed.
