GIBSONIA, Pa.- Frostburg State senior Thirza Roberto (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) earned Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference women's Swimmer of the Week honor for the week of December 7th.

At the Fredonia State Invitational, Roberto had three individual top-ten finishes on the weekend. She placed third in both the 100-yard backstroke (1:05.20) and 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:20.40. Roberto also finished in fourth place in the 200-yard individual medley (2:21.90).

Roberto was a member of the 400-yard medley relay that captured fifth with a time of 4:22.04 and the 200-yard freestyle relay that finished in eight place (1:50.01).

This weekend, the men finished eighth while the women placed ninth.

FSU is back in action at home against Hood on January 16 at 2:00 pm.
