All-Conference Selections
GIBSONIA, Pa. - The Frostburg State men's tennis team landed six spots on the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Conference teams released Monday.
Freshman
Mike Stevenson (Bowie, Md./Bowie) led the Bobcats with First Team honors in the number two singles slot by winning the conference championship for the event with a 6-7 (5), 6-2, 6-4 victory over Penn State Behrend's Erkin Nasirli.
Classmates
Ryan Miller (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key) and
Tyler Forster (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key) received the other First Team selection as they won the number two doubles competition at the AMCC Tournament.
Senior
Greg Shedd (Middletown, Md./Middletown) grabbed his third straight Second Team selection by advancing to the championship match in number one singles.
The freshman tandem of
Steve French (New Windsor, Md./Francis Scott Key) and Mike Hurst (Church Hills, Md./Queen Anne's) landed Second Team awards in the number three doubles position with their runner-up finish at the AMCC Championships.
Shedd and Stevenson hauled in the last All-Conference selection for Frostburg State as they teamed up for the Second Team selection in the number one doubles position.
