FROSTBURG, Md. - The Frostburg State University softball team has earned the sixth and final seed in the upcoming 2009 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Tournament set to begin on Friday, May 1.

Frostburg State opens tournament play on Friday morning at 10:00 am when it faces No. 3 seed Medaille. This season, the six-team double elimination tournament will be hosted by top seed and 2008 champion Penn State Behrend.

The Bobcats enter the tournament with an 23-15 overall record and a 10-8 AMCC mark. FSU, which has earned a spot in the conference tournament in each of the last six year's, split its regular-season series with Medaille (18-16, 11-7).
