MARIETTA, Ohio - Senior Sumer Rohrs (Frostburg, Md./Forest) had two individual first-place finishes and broke two stadium and meet records as the Frostburg State men's and women's track & field teams competed at the Don Frail Invitational, Saturday.

Overall, the Frostburg State women's squad finished fifth (60) and the men captured eighth (45). On the women's side, Notre Dame (Ohio) and Marietta tied for first (94.50) while Tiffin took home the title for the men (133).
Rohrs captured first in the 100-meter hurdles after running a NCAA provisional time, breaking the meet and Don Drumm stadium records (14.41). The meet and stadium records were held previously by Jordhanna White from Robert Morris University set in 2007 (14.88). Rohrs finished first in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.91, again breaking the meet and Don Drumm stadium records (1:03.61, Rohrs, 2008) while running a NCAA automatic qualifying time. She also finished third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.44 and qualified for the ECAC championships in all three events.
In the 1,500-meter run, senior Jennifer Patton (Barton, Md./Westmar) crossed the line third (5:03.98) while sophomore Anne Patron (Baltimore, Md./Dulany) finished fourth with a time of 5:06.40.
Freshman Amy Brennan (Fort Washington, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) placed fifth in the 400-meter dash finishing with a time of 1:02.74.
In the field events, sophomore Emily Furr (Damascus, Md./Poolesville) captured first in the triple jump at 11.24 meters and third in the high jump (1.60 meters), qualifying for ECAC championships in both events.
For the men, senior Brian Leiter (New Windsor, Md./Francis Scott Key) finished first in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:56.09.
Freshman Joesph Morrison (Morristown, N.J./Morristown) placed third in the javelin throw (45.68 meters) and David Thomas captured first in the long jump (6.50 meters). Thomas also finished seventh in the 100-meter dash with an ECAC championship qualifying time of 11.02.
The men's 4x400 relay composed of Leiter, junior Dan Bloch (Baltimore, Md./Dundalk) and freshmen Mitchell Hill (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key) and Charles Jacobs (Baltimore, Md./Aberdeen) captured fourth with a time of 3:25.84, qualifying for ECAC championships.
Thomas and Bloch were joined by freshman Marcus Wilson (Baltimore, Md./Randallstown) and senior Arien Heggs (Arlington, Va./Wakefield) in the men's 4x100 relay to finish sixth with an ECAC championship qualifying time of 43.79.
Frostburg State returns to the track on Saturday, April 11 at either the Bison Open Classic at Bucknell University or the Lynchburg College Classic.
