Baseball Earns ECAC South Bid
2009 FSU Baseball Seniors
CAPE COD, Mass. – The Frostburg State baseball team has received a bid to play in the ECAC South tournament as the No. 4 seed.

The Bobcats (25-15) will host No. 5 seeded Wesley (24-16-1) with a quarterfinal matchup at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 13 at Bob Wells Field.

This is the first trip to the ECAC tournament for Frostburg State since 2001.

The winner of the Wesley/Frostburg State matchup will go on to face top seeded Wilkes (29-11) on Friday, May 15 at 9:00 am in the semifinals of the single elimination tournament. The final two rounds of the tournament will be played in Wilkes-Barr, Pa. on the Wilkes University campus.

Wednesday's other quarterfinal match up featured the No. 3 seed Delaware Valley (21-12) hosting No. 6 Neumann (21-19-1). The winner of that contest will continue to face No. 2 Penn State Altoona (30-17) on Friday in the second semifinal.

Championship will be between two remaining unbeaten teams at 3:00 pm on Friday.
