GIBSONIA, Pa. -  Frostburg State freshman Elly Dannenfelser (Joppa, Md. / John Carroll) began her collegiate career on a positive note being awarded AMCC Player of the Week honors this afternoon.

In her first doubles match for FSU, Dannenfelser and parter Megan Martin (Richmond, Va. / Mills Goodwin) defeated Pitt-Bradford's Renee Total and Sarah Fowkes in the number one doubles match with a score of 8-3. In the No. 1 singles match, Dannenfelser defeated Renee Total with scores of 6-2 and 6-4.

These two match wins helped the Bobcats to a 8-1 victory over Pitt-Bradford last Saturday, September 5.

Dannenfelser hopes to help FSU to another win as it returns to action at home against Juniata on September 9th at 3:30 pm.
