FROSTBURG, Md. - The Frostburg State men's and women's swimming teams had nine individual wins as they competed against Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Pitt-Bradford and non-conference opponent Salem International on senior day, Saturday afternoon. 

Meet Results

The men's squad defeated SIU 80-5 while falling to UPB 55-40. The women were edged out by the Pitt-Bradford 50-44.

Senior Thirza Roberto (Pasadena, Md./Cheaspeake) and freshmen Sam Mulvey (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) and Caleb Stair (Hyndman, Pa./Hyndman) all captured two individual wins on the day.

Roberto placed first in the 100-meter backstroke (1:12.90) and the 100-meter breaststroke (1:24.14) while Mulvey picked up her wins in the 50-meter freestyle (30.57) and 100-meter freestyle (1:07.91).

Stair finished in first-place in the 100-meter butterfly (1:05.04) and the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:15.09.

In the 200-meter individual medley, freshman Erica Minor (Upper Marlboro, Md./Bishop McNamara) captured first-place with a time of 2:57.55 while classmate Trevor Kozlow (Columbia, Md./Wilde Lake) placed first in the men's 200-meter individual medley with a time of 2:22.35.

Senior Jack Hudson (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg) posted a first-place finish in the 400-meter freestyle, touching the wall with a time of 4:43.98.

Mulvey, Minor and Roberto joined freshman Jessica Rice (Gransonville, Md./Kent Island) in the 200-meter freestyle relay to place first (2:04.21).

The Bobcats are back in the pool for the AMCC Championships February 17-20 at Grove City.
