FROSTBURG, Md. - Fifteen different players scored for Frostburg State as the men's basketball team cruised past Hilbert 111-76, Saturday afternoon on senior day. The 111 points are the 10th most in the 66-year history of the men's basketball program and marks the third time this season that FSU has topped the century mark.

The Bobcats (15-8, 12-7) were in control from the very start. They never trailed in the game and raced out to a 20-8 lead just prior to seven minutes into action. FSU kept the pressure on and held a 22-point lead (39-17) just past the midway point. Frostburg hit a 31-point lead (59-28) at 4:43 and led by 28 (65-37) at the break.
Despite emptying the bench in the second half, the Bobcats played just as well and did not skip a beat. FSU pushed its lead to the mid-30's for much of the half and hit a 40-point advantage (98-58) with 6:16 to play. Sophomore
Brandon Carroll (Waldorf, Md./Thomas Stone) hit a layup at 5:12 to push the score to 100-62 and sophomore
Maurice Williams (Columbus, Ohio/Pickerington Central) hit two baskets late in the contest to give FSU 111 points.
Frostburg's bench did most of the damage on the afternoon scoring 61 of the team's 111 points. FSU also scored 27 points off 26 Hilbert (3-22, 2-18) turnovers. Frostburg shot 55.7 percent from the field and made 44-of-79 attempts, the tenth most baskets made in school history.
Junior
Steven Ogg (Arlington, Va./Yorktown), fresh off his season-high 29 points on Wednesday against Pitt-Greensburg, turned in a perfect effort against Hilbert. Ogg scored 19 points and was 7-of-7 from the field, 1-of-1 from beyond the arc and was 4-of-4 from the foul line.
Senior guard
Nick Sefcik (Shady Grove, Md./Damascus) was the only other starter in double figures with 12 points. Junior
Ellis Hartridge (Washington, D.C./Anacostia) and junior
Brian Anderson (Perry Hall, Md./Eastern Tech) scored 11 and 10, respectively off the bench.
Roman Brown scored a game-high 25 points for a Hilbert squad that shot 46.4 percent (26-of-56) from the floor in the loss.
Frostburg State hosts D'Youville tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 pm.
