PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Frostburg State men's basketball team defeated Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent La Roche, 60-54, Wednesday evening after taking a strong first half lead.
The Bobcats (12-7, 9-6) took control of the game early taking a strong lead going into the locker room at the half (31-18). The Hawks (10-11, 7-9) had a strong second half, outscoring the Bobcats 36-29, but were not able to overtake FSU. Frostburg State held the advantage at the final buzzer, taking home a win, 60-54.

Brian Anderson (Perry Hall, Md./Eastern Tech) led the Bobcats with 15 points. Classmate
Jamal Bracken (Baltimore, Md./Eastern Tech) followed behind with 13 points. Junior
Steven Ogg (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) led all rebounders with nine boards. La Roche's Dylan Grazier led all scorers posting 21 points in the loss for the Redhawks.
FSU returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 6 as it hosts D'Youville at 3:00 pm in a 'Hoops for Haiti' event.
