Magee Earns First AMCC Softball Pitcher of the Week Award of Spring Season

GIBSONIA, Pa. - After guiding Frostburg State to a win in its season opener, sophomore Megan Magee (Egg Harbor, N.J./Holy Spirit) was selected as the first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Pitcher of the Week for the spring 2010 season.

The Bobcats (1-3) defeated Albright 11-4 last Saturday behind 18 hits at the plate and a stellar outing from Magee on the mound. She threw all 7.0 innings, striking out eight batters and limiting the Lions to just four runs.

Bobcat junior Megan Henne (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) was listed in the "Best of the Rest". She drove in five runs and had four hits in the victory over Albright. On the weekend, she hit .455 in 11 at-bats.

FSU returns to action on Sunday, March 14 when it faces Keene State at 1:30 pm at the NTC Spring Games in Clermont, Fla.
