Seven of the nine starters in both games collected at least one hit on the afternoon as the Bobcats pushed their AMCC record to 10-2 and 22-8 overall on the season.

FSU started the scoring off quickly in the bottom of the first as junior Daniel Heatwole (Dayton, Va./Turner Ashby (Hagerstown)) doubled to left center and was brought home by classmate Matt Greene (Westminster, Md./South Carroll (Hagerstown)) to give the Bobcats a 1-0 lead. FSU added five more runs in the bottom of the second on three hits, including a three-run homerun off the bat of Greene to left center. The Bobcats led 6-1 going into the top of the third.

D'Youville (5-19, 1-11) put its first and only runs of the game on the board in the top of the third on two hits and an error and trailed 6-2. FSU answered the DYC runs in the bottom half of the inning with two of its own. Sophomore Adam Summerfelt (Gambrills, Md./Archbishop Spalding) singled to center field to lead things off for the Bobcats. Senior Andrew Derr (Brunswick, Md./Brunswick) walked to put two runners on and Summerfelt advanced to third on a passed ball. Classmate Jeff Kroboth (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) hit into a fielder's choice to reach first and bring home Summerfelt. Kroboth stole second for his 12th stolen base of the season and came around to score when Greene hit a RBI double to right center. The Bobcats led 8-2 after three innings.

Senior Joe Garrity (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) led off the fourth inning with a homerun down the leftfield line to give the Bobcats the 9-2 lead. FSU put up two more runs in both the bottom of the fifth and sixth inning to seal the game. Greene scored Frostburg State's 10th run of the game on en error by the third baseman after stealing second and third. Senior Freddy Foshay (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) picked up his first hit and RBI of his career with an one-run single down the left field line. The Bobcats put their final two runs of the game on the board in the sixth with two hits and a Spartan error to take the first game, 13-2.

Senior Greg Beachy (Grantsville, Md./Northern Garrett)) got the win on the mound for the Bobcats throwing 5.0 strong innings, giving up only two runs, one earned, on four hits and five walks while striking out seven.

FSU once again got off to an early lead in the second game putting up three runs in the bottom of the first. The Bobcats are now 16-4 after scoring first and 14-3 when scoring in the first inning. Kroboth led off the game after being hit by a pitch but was replaced on the basepath when Heatwole hit into a fielder's choice. Greene singled to left field to put two runners on. With that hit, Greene extended his hitting streak to 13 games, his second longest of the season and has hit safely in all but one game. Senior Matt Ridenour (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown (Sheperd)) walked to load the bases and Garrity followed behind drawing a walk himself to bring home Heatwole. Sophomore Doug Anuszewski (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) hit a sac fly to right field to bring home Greene and give the Bobcats the 2-0 lead. Summerfelt singled to left field allowing Ridenour to cross the plate for the last run of the inning. The score was held at 3-0 in favor of the Bobcats for the next two innings.

The Bobcats added a run in both the bottom of the fourth and the bottom of the fifth and another three in the bottom of the sixth giving the Bobcats the 8-0 lead after six innings of play. Sophomore pitcher Zach O'Dell (White Plains, Md./Henry E. Lackey) did not allow a base runner in the second, third and fourth inning, striking out five straight batters over that time.

DYC scored its only runs of the game in the top of the seventh, putting three runs on the board with four hits but could not come back against the Bobcats.

O'Dell got the win on the mounding pitching 5.1 shutout innings, striking out a season-high 10 batters, allowing three hits and two walks. He is now 2-0 on the season.
