GIBSONIA, Pa. - The Frostburg State men's tennis team took home two spots on the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Conference teams released Tuesday.
FSU captured third at the AMCC Championships and finished its season with a 9-6 overall record and a 6-4 conference record.
Junior
Ramon Gutierrez (Gilbert, Ariz./West Ferris Secondary School (Gilbert CC)) led Frostburg State with First Team honors in the number two singles competition after defeating Penn State Altoona's Steven Dull with scores of 6-3, 6-1 in the AMCC championship match.
Sophomore
Michael Stevenson (Bowie, Md./Bowie) took home conference honors for the second-straight year after receiving Second Team all-conference honors in the No. 1 singles match. He advanced to championship round at the AMCC tournament where he lost to 2010 AMCC Player of the Year Elliot Blackstone from PSB with scores of 7-6(2), 6-0.
