Women's Lacrosse Ranked No. 1 in the Country in Caused Turnovers

FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State women's lacrosse team is ranked No. 1 in the country in caused turnovers with 13.56 per game in the weekly NCAA Division III statistical rankings for the week of April 25th announced Tuesday.

As a team, FSU (9-7) also currently holds the 29th spot in ground balls per game with 25.0.

Seniors Marissa Henderson (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) and Davia Procida (Columbia, Md./Wilde Lake) along with sophomore Tori Butts (Baltimore, Md./Perry Hall) all continue to be nationally ranked again this week for Frostburg State.

Henderson is ranked sixth in caused turnovers (2.94 per game) and 19th in ground balls (4.56 per game) while Procida holds the 29th spot in ground balls (4.2 per game) and 41st spot in caused turnovers (2.0 per game). Butts is ranked 38th spot in saves with 141 stops on the season.

The Bobcats finished their regular season with a 19-6 victory over Division II Shepherd and are now awaiting an ECAC tournament bid.
