Women's Lacrosse Holds National Ranking for Third-Straight Week

FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State women's lacrosse team continues to hold the No. 1 spot in the country in caused turnovers with 13.56 per game for the third-consecutive week, announced Tuesday.

Senior Marissa Henderson (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) moved to fourth in the country in caused turnovers (2.94 per game) and also currently holds the 19th spot in ground balls (4.56 per game).

Senior Davia Procida (Columbia, Md./Wilde Lake) joins Henderson in the defensive rankings as she is ranked 27th in ground balls (4.2 per game) and holds the 38th position in caused turnovers (2.0 per game).

As a team, FSU (9-7) also currently ranked 27th in ground balls with 25.0 per game.

The Bobcats finished their regular season with a 19-6 victory over Division II Shepherd and are playing Alvernia Wednesday, May 13 at 1:00 pm for the first round of the ECAC tournament.
