FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State women's lacrosse team is tied with Messiah for the No. 1 spot in the country in caused turnovers with 13.24 per game for the week of May 16th, announced Tuesday.
Senior
Marissa Henderson (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) holds the sixth position in caused turnovers with 2.82 per game and 19th in ground balls (4.53 per game).
Joining Henderson in the defensive statistics is senior
Davia Procida (Columbia, Md./Wilde Lake), who ranks 38th in caused turnovers (2.0 per game) and 32nd in ground balls (4.06 per game).
Sophomore
Tori Butts (Baltimore, Md./Perry Hall) holds the 44th position in saves with 155 stops on the season.
As a team, FSU (9-8) also currently ranked 27th in ground balls with 24.94 per game.
The Bobcats finished their season with a 9-8 overall record after advancing to the ECAC tournament first round, where they were defeated by a score of 21-12.
