Megan Dent-Carman (LaVale, Md./Mercersburg Academy) and former midfielder
Lindsey Chaffman (Manchester, Md./North Carroll) were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association academic squad for the 2010 season.
The IWLCA recognized 184 student-athletes from 81 different Division III schools for their achievement in the classroom during the 2009-10 school year. Student-athletes must have achieved at least junior year status and have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
Dent-Carman, a senior for the 2010-11 school year and law and society and spanish major, helped the Bobcats to a 9-8 overall record and helped the team earn a trip to the Eastern Coast Athletic Conference Tournament. She started all 17 games and finished fourth on the team with 28 points.
She totaled 24 goals and four assists, including the game winner, in a thrilling 19-18 win over Greensboro on March 27. She also posted three goals against Shenandoah and Washington & Jefferson.
Chaffman, a former senior, appeared in 13 game. She finished the year with seven goals and four assists. Against Occidental on March 17, she netted three goals and handed out two assists helping the Bobcats to an 18-7 victory. Chaffman will gradute in December 2010 with a bachelor's degree in health and physical education with a minor in coaching.
