Dockett Named CAC Player of the Week; Leads Division III In 3PT Percentage

YORK, Pa. - Frostburg State senior guard Troy Dockett has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season, Monday afternoon.

Dockett scored 26 points and added seven rebounds, two assists and one steal in FSU's victory over league-leading Mary Washington last Saturday. It was the first loss for Mary Washington in the CAC and ended a five-game winning streak for the Eagles. Dockett shot 56.2 percent (9-of-16) from the field, including a 3-of-6 effort from beyond the three-point line.

Late Monday, the NCAA published its weekly statistics and Dockett leads the country in three-point field goal percentage for the second time this season. He has connected on 50.5 percent of his shots from beyond the arc, leads the CAC with 47 three-pointers and is second in the conference in scoring (16.3).

The Bobcats, currently riding a three-game winning streak, returns to the floor tomorrow night with a road contest at York (Pa.) at 8:00 pm.
