YORK, Pa. – Frostburg State seniors Maurice Williams and Troy Dockett have been selected to the All-Capital Athletic Conference teams after helping the Bobcats to the league tournament and a tie for third place in the regular-season standings.
The duo combined to average 32.6 points per game and helped guide the Bobcats to an even 13-13 overall record and the fifth seed in the CAC Tournament.
Williams earned first team honors after finishing second in the league in scoring (16.7). He led the Bobcats in scoring in 13 games and was twice named the CAC Player of the Week. Williams scored in double figures in 22 games and posted four double-doubles. He finished with 435 points, the most for a Bobcat player since the 2002-03 season.
Dockett, a second team selection, capped off a stellar four-year career by finishing fourth in the league in scoring (15.9). He led the team and finished second nationally in three-point field-goal percentage (50.0). He led the Bobcats and the CAC in three-pointers made with 68.
Dockett, who scored in double figures in 21 games this season, led FSU in scoring in nine contests and was named a CAC Player of the Week twice in the month of January.
The Bobcats were joined by York (Pa.) and St. Mary’s with two all-conference selections. Paul Kouvaris of York (Pa.) was selected as the league’s Player of the Year, Jesse Konadu of Marymount was chosen as the Rookie of the Year while Jeff Gamber (York) grabbed Coach of the Year honors for the fifth time in his career.
