YORK, Pa. – After posting wins at the 2012 Capital Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships, the Frostburg State sophomore tandem of Samantha Taylor and Morgan Carroll have earned First Team All-CAC honors, Tuesday. Carroll was also awarded Second Team All-CAC honors.

The duo posted FSU’s only wins and helped the women’s team to a fourth-place finish.

Taylor kicked off the meet with a win in the pole vault at 3.20 meters on Saturday night. She was just 0.05 meters short of qualifying for the ECAC Championships and was just three inches short of a school record. The victory hands Taylor both the 2012 indoor and outdoor CAC pole vault titles.

Carroll cruised to victory in the 400-meter dash with a career best and ECAC qualifying time of 58.69. She also added a second-place showing in the high jump at 1.52 meters. Carroll posted four wins in the 400 during the outdoor season and posted five second-place finishes in the high jump in six meets.
