Jackson Selected First Team ECAC South All-Star

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Frostburg State senior men’s basketball standout Christian Jackson was selected as a 2012-13 First Team Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South All-Star, Friday morning.

Jackson, a First Team All-CAC honoree, led the league in scoring from the outset of the 2012-13 season, averaging 25.8 points per game. He finished the season second among all NCAA Division III players in scoring as well.

Jackson, who played just one season for the Bobcats, led the team in scoring in 22 of 26 games and scored more than 30 points in a game eight times.

He set several school records including single-season scoring (670 points), coming up just seven points shy of the CAC season record. Jackson poured in a season-high 38 points against Waynesburg behind a school record 18-of-19 (94.7%) free throws.

Jackson was joined by five players on the ECAC first team, including fellow CAC opponent Paul Reynolds (Wesley College), who was also selected as the ECAC South Player of the Year. Salisbury’s Travon Vann was named to the second team.

Frostburg State advanced to the CAC Tournament and posted a 10-16 overall record.
