CARLISLE, Pa. – Frostburg State women's cross country freshmen Casey Columbus and Margaret McConnell were the top finishers in a pair of races as the Bobcats competed at the Dickinson Long Short Course Invitational, Saturday.
Columbus led FSU in the long course race that covered 6,000-meters. She crossed the line in 79th place in 26:34.3. Junior Bryn Allston was the second Bobcat across the finish line in 111th place at 27:38.8. Freshman Lexi Foreman was 126th overall and third for Frostburg at 28:30.6.
In the 4,000-meter short course, McConnell took home top honors by finishing 126th in 19:37.7, while freshman Danielle Greene was 137th in 21:44.1.
With just two runners, the Bobcats didn't register a team score in the short course. However, FSU took 15th out of 21 teams in the long course standings.
FSU returns to action on Saturday, October 12 at the Slippery Rock University Invitational.
