FREDERICK, Md. – The Frostburg State University women's cross country team posted its second-straight victory after winning the Hood College Open Invitational, Saturday.
Meet ResultsThe Bobcats, who won the Aaron Slafka Memorial Cross Country Invitational two weeks ago, had five runners finish inside the top-20.
Junior Gabbi Maher paced the team's efforts with a ninth-place finish in 25:29.1, narrowly edging freshman Alexis DeVault, who earned 10th in 25:29.4.
Sophomore Casey Columbus and freshman Faith Thackston captured 15th and 16th, respectively. Columbus crossed in 26:21.7, while Tackston finished at 26:30.8.
Rounding out the top-five Frostburg runners was senior Bryn Allston, who captured 19th overall in 26:52.1.
Frostburg State returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the CAC Championships at Mary Washington.
