FROSTBURG, Md. – Junior Kaitlin Lemmert posted the lone win for the Frostburg State University women's tennis team as it dropped a CAC home match to York (Pa.), 8-1, Saturday.
Lemmert posted a 6-4, 6-1 win over Emily Price at No. 2 singles for her fourth of the season. She teamed with fellow junior Kayla Kirk at No. 1 doubles, but the pair dropped an 8-3 decision to Katie Wagner and Darian Naill. Kirk lost a hard-fought match to Wager at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-1.
Jessica McCants fell at No. 5 singles 6-2, 6-4 to Emily Skutnik and lost at No. 2 doubles, 8-4, to Emily Price and Megan Jones. She was teamed with sophomore Ashley Smith.
Frostburg State returns to action on Tuesday when it hosts Southern Virginia at 4:00 pm.
