FROSTBURG, Md. – After capturing the 2015 Capital Athletic Conference Crown and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, the Frostburg State baseball team will travel to Washington, Pa. for the 2015 NCAA DIII Mideast Regional, as announced by the NCAA late Sunday.
The six-team regional, hosted by Washington & Jefferson College, will open play this Wednesday, May 13 with game times to be determined.
Frostburg captured the top seed of the six teams and is making its sixth appearance in the NCAA Regional. Joining the Bobcats in Washington, Pa. are second-seeded Arian (33-10), third-seeded Heidelberg (31-12), fourth-seeded La Roche (30-11), fifth-seeded Shenandoah (27-8-1) and sixth-seeded W&J (28-15).
FSU enters the tournament with a school-record 37-6 overall record and is ranked second in the country in both the D3Baseball.com and ABCA national polls.
