WESTMORELAND, Pa. – Freshman Robert Romano opened his collegiate cross country career in record-setting fashion as the Frostburg State men's team competed at the 2015 Westmoreland Invitational, Saturday morning.
Romano took the overall race win with a course record after covering the 5K course in 15:54. Post-race awards were handed out for top-10 finishes and Romano was joined on the award podium by fellow freshman Matthew Whitley, after he captured 10
th place in 18:24.
Freshman Zachary Talbert was the third Bobcat finisher and the 17
th overall at 19:34, while freshman Hayden Tranter rounded out the Bobcat competitors at took 21
st place in 20:52.
The Frostburg men return to action on Saturday, September 19 at the St. Mary's College Invitational at 9:30 am.
