Frostburg, Md.- The Frostburg State men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete in the Capital Athletic Conference championships and the Frostburg State University department of athletics will be releasing championship preview video interviews with head coach Dale Luy and athletes as they get ready for the event.
The Bobcats men's cross country team has had a strong season heading into the CAC championship event on Oct. 29
th. The campaign has seen the Bobcats take home three first place team finishes along with multiple top-ten individual finishes. Sophomore Robert Romano has led the way for the Bobcat men this season with three top-ten finishes including a first place individual finish at the Westmoreland County Community College Invitational back on Sept. 10th which lead to him being named the CAC men's cross country athlete of the week. Senior Xavier Alvarez, sophomore Tom Burklow, freshman Jacob Rickards and freshman Timmy Wolodkin each helped the Bobcats' cause as well with two top ten finishes a piece. Â
The Bobcats men's cross country team will participate in the CAC championship event on Saturday, October 29th at Penn State Harrisburg starting at 11AM.
