Frostburg, Md.- The Frostburg State men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete in the Capital Athletic Conference championships and the Frostburg State University department of athletics will be releasing championship preview video interviews with head coach Dale Luy and athletes as they get ready for the event.
The Bobcats women's cross country team showed major improvements from 2015 during their 2016 campaign. Frostburg has had two first-place team finishes in 2016, one on September 10
th at the Westmoreland County Community College Invitational and also on September 17
th at the Penn State- Greater Allegheny Invitational. Â The young Bobcats' squad was lead this season by freshman Laurie Gotte, who finished the year with two top-five individual finishes. Junior Faith Thackston also chipped in with two top-five finishes and a ninth-place finish at the FSU Bobcat Invitational.
The Bobcats women's cross country team will participate in the CAC championship event on Saturday, October 29th at Penn State Harrisburg starting at 11AM.
