The Bobcats cap their 2016 campaign with a 30-14 overall record. It marks the second-straight year that FSU has had its season come to an end at the hands of the Red Dragons (39-6). Last season, Cortland eliminated FSU from the College World Series en route to the national championship.

Frostburg senior starter Anderson Burgess collected a solid outing in his final collegiate action. The lefty fanned six batters against one of the nation's top offensive lineups. Burgess tossed 5.2 innings and allowed six earned runs on nine hits.

Until the sixth inning, Burgess struckout five batters and allowed just three hits and one run.

Junior Cody Harman led the Bobcats with two hits (2-for-4), while senior Jamal Windom and junior Brad Garrant each had one. Harman singled to center in the first, Garrant led off the second with a double and Windom smacked an infield single in the third.

Cortland struck first in the third with a run-producing triple. The Red Dragons later tacked on five runs in the sixth for the 6-0 final.

Steven Figueroa led Cortland with two hits, an RBI and a run scored as the Red Dragons advance and will play on Friday morning at 11:00 am. The regional hosts will face the winner of tonight's game between Ramapo and Susquehanna.
