A number of criteria are required to be selected as a Scholar All-American, including a cumulative GPA of 3.0 through his senior year, behavior on and off the field, and he must be an All-American, a member of the North/South team, or an outstanding league or conference player. Kraemer and Love are two of just five athletes selected from the Capital Athletic Conference.

He finished second in the conference in goals-against average (6.92) and save percentage (0.558). Kraemer also helped the Bobcats to a conference-best man-down defense (0.822). An All-CAC Second Team selection and 2016 Face-Off Yearbook Preseason All-American prior to the start of the season, he was also named a USILA All-American following the 2015 season.

Love, a mechanical engineering major and Westminster, Md. native, finished his college career with a 3.743 cumulative GPA. As FSU's all-time leading goal scorer, Love holds the program record for goals (131) and is second all-time with 192 points and fourth all-time with 61 assists. He led the Bobcats this season with 34 goals and 27 assists for 61 points, and was named to the All-CAC Second Team.
