DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference released its Academic Honor Roll for the fall 2017 semester and Frostburg had 56 student-athletes honored by the league.
To earn a spot on the ECAC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete needed at least a 3.2 GPA during the fall semester and must have completed one full academic year at Frostburg.
Along with the honor roll, the ECAC also announced is President's Honor Roll for all student-athletes that carried a 3.6 GPA or higher during the fall semester while having completed one full academic year at Frostburg.
The Bobcat women's soccer team led the way with 12 honorees on the honor roll, including eight perfect 4.0 GPAs. The football team boasted 12 selections and was the top men's team honored.
In total, 18 of the 56 student-athletes named to the honor roll carried a perfect 4.0 during the fall semester.
While Frostburg placed 56 on the honor roll, 31 student-athletes earned the necessary 3.6 GPA to be placed on the President's List as well.
Behind the eight student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA, the women's soccer team led the way with 11 honorees. Frostburg volleyball second on the president's list with six selections.
